Meet Todd A. Dickson

DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, CARN-AP

I’m Todd Dickson, a dual board-certified psychiatric mental health and family nurse practitioner with a deep commitment to helping individuals heal from complex trauma, psychiatric disorders, and substance use challenges. My passion for integrative mental health care led me to establish Dickson Psychiatric Services, where I work in collaboration with Soul Centered Therapy and PURE to offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP).

How I Work

I take a holistic, bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach to therapy, acknowledging the interaction between physical, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects of patient care and well-being. With training from the Polaris Institute in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, I draw from psychodynamic, humanistic, existential, and cognitive behavioral therapy models, as well as the latest neuroscience research. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to support clients in resolving trauma.

My approach is collaborative and client-centered—I provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore personal beliefs, uncover patterns, and develop strategies to move forward. I believe in empowering my clients to connect past experiences with present challenges in a way that fosters growth and lasting change.

Beyond Therapy

Outside of my work, I am deeply passionate about continuing education and staying at the forefront of emerging treatments in mental health. When I’m not in session, I enjoy outdoor activities, mindfulness practices, and spending time in nature to recharge and find balance..
