Common Questions
How long is the first session? Typically 60 minutes.
What if I feel nervous? It’s completely normal! Your therapist is here to guide you at your own pace.
Will we start therapy right away? The first session is mostly about understanding your background, concerns, and setting a foundation.
What if I don’t feel like my therapist is the right fit? That’s okay! You can let us know in the First Session Feedback form and we can discuss options to find the best match for you.
How do I reschedule or cancel my appointment? Contact your therapist directly. We ask for 48 hours’ notice—see our cancellation policy for details.
After Your First Session: Next Steps
Scheduling Future Sessions: You and your therapist can discuss a plan that works best for you. Therapy is most effective when attended consistently, and many clients find that weekly sessions help them build momentum in their healing journey. We encourage you to start with weekly appointments until you and your therapist determine the best long-term schedule for your needs. If you’d like to explore a different frequency, we’re happy to work with you to find a plan that aligns with your goals, availability, and financial situation.
Setting Goals: Together, you'll start defining your therapy path and what you'd like to work on.
Providing Feedback: We value your experience! Please take a moment to fill out our First Session Feedback Form to let us know how it went and if there's anything we can improve.
