Meet Kate Moret

Mental Health Practitioner, MFT Practicum Intern

I’m a Master’s-level Marriage and Family Therapy intern from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. I am a queer, neurodivergent, second-career therapist-in-training on a journey to live an authentic and embodied life. I support adults, teens, families, and couples navigating all phases of life. I believe therapy is a collaborative practice of liberation, and I strive for clients to feel seen, supported, and capable.

How I Work

My approach is systemic, somatic (body-based), and mindfulness-centered. I’m currently training in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, and am drawn to its ability to meet people at a depth that talk therapy alone can’t always reach. I practice through a trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+-affirming, and anti-oppressive lens. I believe that community, nature, and self-compassion are essential for healing and growth.

Beyond Therapy

In my personal life, I am an auntie, sister, cycle-breaker, and cat-mom. When I’m not working I love: being outside, gardening, wandering museums, drag shows, cross-country skiing, start/stopping new hobbies, and listening to vinyl records.
